Good few hours at Shoreham on 5m and trad wave. Really good to start with, wish I'd got there a bit sooner now. The waves were well spaced with flat stuff in between, highly entertaining, especially given the onshore direction.

I didnt expect it to go so choppy everywhere once the tide got up. But the swell was still around despite the chop and the bigger ones stretched to give a smooth face. With a bit of bottle, there were steep sections off the end of the rock groynes. Less good for the backside hit, but ok for a nice gybe or downwind swoop. It really lashed it down after I packed up. Started in shorty and suntan lotion, finished freezing cold in the car sheltering from the rain before getting changed.
